“Early September, the heat does not diminish. The rain does not come. I find myself irritated that the sun continues to demand attention. I long for a dark rainy day, a steady rain, the ease and peace of cloud cover.” Exactly how I feel right now, in late September, in Minnesota, still 85 degrees and dry every day. I am quite aggrieved, missing out on what should be the loveliest (ie, cool) weather of the year. Those vultures were SO cute, always hard to say goodbye to the young ones, and all of them who migrate. Good to hear from you.
So beautiful, Sandy! Thank you for sharing bits from these books, too.
Thanks, Susannah! Looking forward to seeing you soon!
